1983年ワールズ・エンドのコレクション・テーマは『WITCHES(魔法使い)』でした。マルコム・マクラーレンがアメリカでグラフィック・アーティストであったキース・へリングの作品を見たことがテーマを発想する原点となりました。マルコムにはキースの作品が魔法使いの記号や象形文字に見えたそうです。そして『WITCHES』は誕生しました。
WITCHES JACKETは袖山から大きな角を突出させています。角の素材は英国サヴィル・ロウで使われる毛芯です。左胸のラペルからも毛芯が露出しています。フロントの釦には呪術で使われそうな牛の角(トッグル釦)を使用しています。
WITCHES PANTSの最大の特徴はふくらはぎ部分の形状が悪魔の足のようになっているフォルムです。パターンメイク時に前身頃と後身頃で繋ぎ合わせ、脇線を後身の中心線まで移動させ剥ぎ目を作ります。その剥ぎ目を利用し悪魔の足の立体感を形成しています。

This is an exhibition of museum-level items. It is a set-up suit from the 1983 World’s End “WITCHES” collection. The jacket alone is listed for 3.2 million yen overseas. This is a complete collector’s item. If you are interested, please bid.The brand name is not attached, but it is a product that you can tell at a glance that it is genuine.The theme of the 1983 World’s End collection was “WITCHES”. Malcolm McLaren saw the work of Keith Haring, a graphic artist in America, and that was the origin of the idea for the theme. Malcolm said that Keith’s work looked like symbols and pictograms of witches. And “WITCHES” was born.The WITCHES JACKET has a large horn protruding from the sleeve mountain. The material of the horn is wool core, which is used in Savile Row in England. The wool core is also exposed from the lapel on the left chest. The front buttons are made of cow horns (toggle buttons) that look like they could be used in witchcraft.The biggest feature of the WITCHES PANTS is the shape of the calf part, which is shaped like a devil’s foot. When making the pattern, the front and back parts are joined together, and the side line is moved to the center line of the back part to create a seam. The seam is used to form the three-dimensional effect of the devil’s foot.This is an item that you don’t see often in auctions.
